Women’s Enterprise Day is about celebrating successful female entrepreneurs, and inspiring more women and girls to turn their ideas into reality.

This year Women enterprise Day is encouraging women to aim high and think big when unleashing their enterprising ideas.

Why should you get involved?
The Women’s Enterprise team at Make Your Mark have been busy consulting with organisations such as schools, women’s networks, business support organisations and women-owned businesses to find out why they get involved.
Here’s some of the benefits they listed:
“We use the focus of the day and run an activity as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility agenda. Women’s Enterprise Day is a good opportunity to raise the profile of our organisation. We use the day to help more women to set up businesses. Choosing the day to run our monthly network meeting helps us increase membership to our network. As a Spark women’s ambassador, I really enjoy getting involved in Women’s Enterprise Day events so I can inspire school girls and young people to believe in themselves.”
How does it work?
“All over the UK, organisations will be using the focus of this day to run their own events and activities. Check out the Ideas Bank for some tips and stories to help you plan a successful Women’s Enterprise Day. Search using ‘women’s enterprise’ to bring up lots of activity suggestions.”
