Intermòn Oxfam (Oxfam International’s Spanish branch) has launched its very own wedding list, where instead of contributing to the newly wed’s honeymoon, friends and family can buy school books, water deposits, seeds or chickens for the world’s poor. Due to the tremendous success of the campaign, the NGO has now extended the practice to all kinds of celebrations. Madrid based organisation Semilla (seed) has instead launched a sustainable catering programme, guaranteeing 100% organic and fair-trade products in the creation of their banquets. The organisation also offers teaching programmes, including cooking and professional silver service training programmes.
