Prague is hosting a major celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution on Nov 17, the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy Day. Under the title «20 years without the Iron Curtain», Opona, a non-profit organization, is organizing a parade following the route students took 20 years ago. After that, concerts with the band Monkey Business and other singers will take place. The 1989 Velvet Revolution ended the communist regime in the former Czechoslovakia.
