UK: Third franchise of Fifteen

A new franchise of Fifteen – the social enterprise restaurant founded by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver – was launched on 18 May 2006 in Cornwall, England.

The Fifteen restaurants provide employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged young people. All profits generated by the restaurants are gifted to the Fifteen Foundation, which exists to inspire young people – who are homeless, unemployed, or overcoming drug or alcohol problems – to believe that they can create for themselves great careers in the restaurant industry.

Fifteen Cornwall is the second franchise of the first Fifteen restaurant which opened four years ago in London. The first Fifteen franchise was launched in Amsterdam in 2004, and the fourth is due to open in Melbourne, Australia, in September 2006.
