UK: New fund for welsh enterprises
In Wales a new fund will combat social exclusion by supporting community-based activity with a flexible financial assistance
The Communities Investment Fund has been launched by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action in partnership with Wales Co-operative Centre and Development Trusts Association Wales. It aims to promote sustainability by providing flexible loans and development grants to support the development of activities that generate income. Specifically it has been created to assist with revenue costs, provision of business skills, and the purchase of property, land, machinery or equipment.
The Communities Investment Fund, financed by the European Regional Development Fund, can make loans of up to £250,000 (350,000 euros).
