UK: new childcare social enterprise guide released
Childcare has been recognised as one of the essential building blocks to a growing economy
Social Enterprise London (SEL) has launched a new guide aimed at people who want specialist knowledge of starting a social enterprise childcare business. ‘Social Enterprise Childcare’ was produced in response to feedback from organisations that want access to cost-effective, up to date information to help them establish and run successful social enterprises.
In recent years, childcare has been recognised as one of the essential building blocks to a growing economy. For families and lone parents who need or want to work good, affordable childcare is essential. For businesses to run smoothly reliable childcare is a necessity. Social Enterprise Childcare explores the social enterprise model, outlines the background to the childcare sector and makes suggestions as to how organisations can take the first steps in using social enterprise in their long-term strategy.
Sinéad McBrearty, Deputy Chief Executive of SEL said, “From our work with social enterprises we know that relevant, up to date information targeted at an appropriate level can be difficult to come by. This guide offers excellent value for money and is written by social enterprise experts. We will be adding to the range in the next few months so watch this space!”
