Manchester Biodiesel Co-operative has opened a new fuel filling station selling biodiesel – a renewable and environmentally friendly fuel derived from vegetable oil. The Green Gold Biodiesel station is unique in the UK as it is entirely dedicated to selling biodiesel, and it offers an in-house advisory service for people that want to know more about the alternative fuel, how they can use it, and its ecological and economical benefits. Currently the station sells ?Basic 5? fuel containing 5% biodiesel, which can be used in all diesel vehicles, however it can also supply 100% biodiesel, entitled ?Pure 100? to its co-op members.
