UK: Brand new and recycled
Green-Works is a social enterprise dealing with office furniture, their refurbishment and distribution at a very low cost to charities, schools, community groups and start-up businesses
Green-Works, a leading social enterprise based in London, has introduced a unique concept in recycling and remanufacture. The enterprise has already received a series of awards for its primary service – which involves collecting office furniture, refurbishing it, and then distributing it at a very low cost to charities, schools, community groups and start-up businesses. Now by developing a new joinery service it can divert even more furniture away from landfill. Green-Works Joinery, situated in Wembley, manufactures a range of new furniture products for the workplace and the home from used office furniture. The range includes standard products such as desks, bookcases, shelving and storage systems, and a ?Kiddi? selection of furniture designed especially for children. The enterprise also offers bespoke products such as reception desks and shop counters. In keeping with Green-Works? mission to radically change the way that society thinks about waste, the joinery service preserves valuable resources, helps to protect the environment, creates employment opportunities and assists in the regeneration of communities across the UK. www.green-works.co.uk
