The second stage of the ?Make Your Mark in 60 Seconds? competition, a flagship initiative of the Make Your Mark: Change Lives campaign, will be officially launched on Social Enterprise Day in London. The campaign, co-ordinated by the Social Enterprise Coalition, aims to encourage young people to get involved in social enterprise and is heavily promoted during the UK?s national Enterprise Week.

The competition is inviting people aged between 11 and 30 years old to submit their ideas for social enterprise initiatives.

Ideas need to be submitted in the form of a 60 second film presentation to Bebo.com ? a social networking website. The winner, chosen by a panel of celebrity judges and experts from UnLtd, will be awarded £5,000 and coaching from UnLtd – a charity which supports social entrepreneurs.

Make Your Mark in 60 Seconds is the brainchild of leading players in the social enterprise sector, made possible by UnLtd, the Make Your Mark campaign, ?What If!, Bebo, the Social Enterprise Coalition and the Office of the Third Sector working with many others.

It is hoped that many thousands of young people and hundreds of schools, colleges and universities will get involved and submit entries. The deadline is February 8th 2008 and the winner will be announced at Young Voice 08 ? the national conference for social enterprise in the UK.
The winner of the first stage of the competition will be announced at the end of Social Enterprise Day at the Candid Arts Gallery in Islington, London. This winner will be one of four young finalists that have received the most votes for their social enterprise idea via the Bebo.com website. Voting closes at 5.30pm.
