Ucraina: the state of corporate philanthrophy

Counterpart Creative Center, Kiev, conducted a nation-wide May ? July 2005 study of the current state of corporate philanthropy and prospects for its development among the Ukrainian corporate community. The study was conducted by Counterpart Creative Center in partnership with the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology and funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation (USA). Representatives of Ukrainian large- and medium-sized companies from all oblast centers of Ukraine, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and city of Kyiv participated in the study. The Report summarizes results of the study of charity motivations, approaches and practices by the Ukrainian large- and medium-sized business companies and their media coverage. The study is just a first step in exploring and perceiving the current state of corporate charity in Ukraine. The publication can be helpful to researchers, business companies, NGO activists, politicians, social workers and charity practitioners.
