Workforce
A recent study (Carkoglu, 2006) reports that on average foundations have 24 people actively working for their organizations: 2 being paid administrators, 14 volunteer managers (who are likely to be members of the executive board), 3 are paid staff and 5 are volunteer staff. Respondents report that in general the management capacity of their organizations is able to achieve set goals. In the CSI Survey, 58% of the respondents reportedly work for a CSO which employs paid staff. The majority (60%) consider the human resources of their organization to be adequate.
