Only one week left to the Skoll World Forum, the premier global event for social entrepreneurship. Coming up for its 10th year, the Forum is an international platform for accelerating entrepreneurial approaches and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing social issues. It will be held in Oxford from 10 to 12 April.
More than 800 of the world’s most influential social entrepreneurs, thinkers and practitioners from the social, academic, finance, private and policy sectors from over 65 countries will gather in Oxford for three days of critical debates, discussions and work sessions aimed at innovating, accelerating and scaling solutions to social challenges.
This year’s theme is disruption. Disruptive innovations can reshape industries, replace old technologies and overthrow political regimes. To bring about the scale of change social entrepreneurs envision, they must think like disrupters, first understanding the forces that have created and fueled our greatest challenges, and then designing solutions aimed at bringing about a more just, sustainable and prosperous world.
Past participants have included: Archbishop Emeritus Desmond M. Tutu, Al Gore, Nobel Laureate, Former Vice President of the United States, Jeff Skoll, The Jeff Skoll Group, Her Majesty Queen Rania.
