This the end of 2009. It was a glorious year and you must all be proud of your civil society hero.
Unfortunately I can’t say who you are since I still haven’t received the stats of my blog from my editor.
It doesn’t matter; I’m sure you are millions following my adventures.
Yesterday I was again at Ipanema beach going through all the pictures taken this year. I was showing them to a young native to make an impression. There is not much more we can do than playing the old fashion ‘beautiful’ Europeans… Something in between Princess Diana and Pavarotti.
I hadn’t realized that this year I’ve been to 4 continents, 40 capitals, taken 90 flights and spent 80% of my time travelling.
I also discovered 2 of my favourite places in the world: Rio de Janeiro and Cape Town.
Results: Euclid Network is up and running. We’ve got full support of the EU and UN, a growing membership and entreprising staff.
I even got the PADI certification for Scuba-diving!
I feel accomplished… Just for a day. Tomorrow starts a new year.
Do I have new year resolutions? Yes sure. This is my provisional list:
– to be appointed Lord Protector of civil society in Europe
– to become fluent in Arabic and expand the network in the Med region
– to write my first book: ‘Becoming Filippo’
– to move to the new house in my official role of Dirty Uncle and start a new 21st century
– to meet the Pope
– to experiment monogamia… Not sure about the last one.
The year is ending. Who cares about the past. Welcome the new year!
