Spain: Support for 661 Social entreprises

The Direction of Innovation of the Andalusian Government promoted the creation of 143 social economy enterprises and the consolidation of 518 other companies in the province of Cadiz in 2005 . The creation and consolidation of such enterprises has contributed to the generation of 471 new permanent jobs, 14% of which have been taken up by women and 40% by youngsters. The total investment has amounted to 6,6 million Euros. 40% of the co-operatives and labour societies created belong to the service sector, 20% to the construction one and 14% to the industry. www.juntadeandalucia.es
