Spain: Courier service of fair trade

During the last Christmas holidays, the Barcelona-based co-operative Trèvol distributed 1,600 Christmas lots with fair trade products with an electronic van. Since 1992, this co-operative has been using bicycles as a means to transport documents and urgent small packs in Barcelona. Five months ago, it has launched this new service which they expect the Catalan Government or the Barcelona town council will contract as an example of sustainability. The purpose of Trèvol is to consolidate the distribution of the social market. www.trevol.com
