Russia: new office for German- Russian Youth Foundation
German - Russian Youth Foundation has opened its office in Hamburg
The German-Russian Youth Foundation has been founded in February 2006 in Public Private Partnership through the Federal Government of Germany, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations.
The foundation has its legal basis in the intergovernmental agreement on co-operation in youth politics signed between Germany and the Russian Federation in 2004.
The aim of the foundation is to contribute to youth exchange, to a better understanding of youth from both countries and to the establishment of long-lasting relationship between the civil societies of Germany and Russia. Until today the fondation has developped two main programme lines concerning the exchange of pupils in the scope of school partnership and the extra-curricular youth exchange.
