Kosovo: TTK calls for human rights to be at heart of independence

The Peje/Pec based Tavolo Trentino con il Kossovo (TTK), a meeting and focal point for cooperation of Kosovar civil society established by Italian association Trentino con il Kossovo, from Trento, has issued a declaration on the coming resolution of the status of Kosovo.
TTK, which has worked with its partners on improvement of living conditions of the Pejë/Pec region since 1999, through promotion of coexistence among all communities and rebuilding of social, economic and political structure, and has proved its dedication to non-violent conflict resolution approach.
The organizations gathered around TTK pledge to engage with a greater conviction to empower the idea of peaceful coexistence among communities living in the territory of Pejë/Peć region and denounce any act of violence or attempt to solve problems by force, using for this matter all possible routes in Kosovo and abroad it.
The Declaration reiterates the focus of the signatory organizations on the HUMAN BEING, regardless of ethnic, political, religious, cultural and other backgrounds; and the intention to continue working in support of the idea of a Kosovo in which all its citizens should have equal rights and obligations in front of the Law.
