Italy: Sanpaolo Imi supports Telefono Azzurro

From May 2006 to the end of June 2007 San Paolo Imi will give one euro to Telefono Azzurro, the association taking care of minors, for each ?Benefit Under 18? bank account which will be opened. In one and a half year 80.000 euros have been collected by San Paolo Imi and its partners and last year 25.000 ?Benefit Under 18? bank accounts have been opened , with an average of more than 68 bank accounts opened per day. The money collected through this charity program supported a project aimed at building wells in Burkina Faso, Africa. The project was promoted by the Italian NGO MAGIS (Italian Missionary Jesuits) The money collected this year will support the Centri Polivalenti (Multifunctional Centres) of the association, both those existing and those in course of realization. The Centri Polivalenti are structures with many goals: guaranteeing an emergency intervention for children and adolescents in immediate danger, offering consultancy, encouraging relationships between parents in prison and their children, by opening playing areas for children inside penitentiaries, organizing training courses for teachers and parents, realizing workshops and theatre shows for children on various issues, from rights to cross-culture, from segregation to bullying. www.sanpaolo.com www.azzurro.it www.magisitalia.org
