Italy: PayPal, charity with a click

Starting form the 1st of April, from the PayPal portal it is possibile to donate funds to the non profit sector. Tanks to PayPal, a society of the Ebay Group, a few days after the launch, more than 60000 euros have been raised for social causes. It is very simple to donate through PayPal. You just need to have a PayPal account, and the donation will be credited to the non profit organization?s PayPal account. To create a Paypal account you just need to have an email. Among the major associations that have decided to join PayPal we can mention: Emergency (an ONG whose goal is to bring medical assistance to war victims), AIRC (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro ? Italian Association fot Cancer Research) and Associazione italiana Sclerosi Multipla- (Italian Association for Multilple Sclerosis)
