For the fourth year running Caterpillar, an Italian radio show on Radio2 will be launching its environmental campaign ?m?illumino di meno? (I light up less) on the 15th February.

Following the success of other years Caterpillar is calling on its audience to turn off all but absolutely necessary electrical appliances from 18:00 onwards as a sign of their commitment towards the planet, but also as a demonstration that we can change our consumer habits.

Last year many Italian high streets and symbolic landmarks participated including the Colosseum and the Trevi fountain in Rome, Verona?s arena, the Duomo and the Scala in Milan and Siena?s central square to name but a few of the long list. Hundreds of smaller communities and cities also adhered.

The 15th February will be the eve of the anniversary of the signing of the Kyoto protocol.
