Italy: A blog fights social urban degradation

Blogging as a means of social inclusion. This is the idea behind the blog that a social inclusion project, Quartieri Solidari 2, launched at Imola by the Italian volunteering organisation CSV.

The blog aims to be a means through which to inform the public about how the project is going and gathering feedback from people on the project. The project it?s self aims to prevent urban social degradation and to promote the creation of welfare by networking the existing services and resources in the local area. The network aims to involve not just those that are brought into the network but also the whole community: young people, adults, public, private and social organisations.

The blog has already started publishing some of the results that the project has achieved ? a survey amongst local youth, the programme of a frisbee competition, and a list of all the services available locally.
