First Italian Social Innovation Camp
It will be held at The Hub Milan from 8 to 10 June
Social Innovation Camp Milano is a contest that combines ideas, people and digital tools to find solutions to social, environmental and cultural challenges. The best ideas will be turned into reality during a 48-hour workshop to be held at The Hub Milan between 8 and 10 June. SI Camp takes its name from a series of homonymous contests initially held in London and then all over the world starting in 2008. The SI Camp Milan is the first that is organized in Italy.
Through its website Social Innovation Camp will collect the most innovative ideas to solve social, environmental and cultural problems. The six best ideas will be selected by a jury and joined by teams of experts in different fields, including computer programming and digital technology, financial planning, communication and marketing, business development and fundraising. Together, the experts will provide the six proponents with the right tools to transform their ideas into reality.
SiCamp is organized by The Hub Milan in partnership with Social Innovation Camp (UK),esterni, WWF Lombardia, Ciessevi Milano, with funding from Fondazione Cariplo and UniCredit Foundation, and in collaboration with Avanzi / Make a Cube.
Individuals of all ages, professional backgrounds and nationalities are encouraged to participate. The solutions they will propose must have the following three characteristics:
– be web-based – the final product will have to be a website or an app for smart phones;
– demonstrate a strong impact on one or more challenges in the social, environmental and cultural fields, preferably in Milan and in Lombardy, but also in the rest of Italy;
– be innovative and at a preliminary stage of development.
