Final seminar of the project City Cultural Policies in the Context of Diversity Linked to Immigration

Until now cultural policies have not been considered in the debate on the management of diversity linked to immigration. This project reflects on how cities can orient their cultural policies in the contexts of diversity, paying particular attention to the social dimension of policies and the Mediterranean region. The project approaches three specific areas: annual festivities, libraries and the City History Museum. In the final seminar of the project, the reports prepared for the cities of Oran, Barcelona, Tel Aviv and Lisbon will be presented.  The Interdisciplinary Immigration Research Group at Pompeu Fabra University (GRITIM-UPF) has coordinated this project, which has been funded by the Anna Lindh Foundation in collaboration with the IEMed.
