FAO committee on world food security

Next week, the FAO meets in Rome to discuss food security in today's world

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will host the 34th session of the Committee on World Food Security from 14-17 October 2008, at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy.

This Committee will assess the current global food situation and implications for the future. Special events will also be organized to consider the impact of high food prices on nutrition and the theme of high prices, food security issues and policy responses.
