European conference on social economy

The European conference constitutes, for all Social Economy entrepreneurs, in their great diversity, an event of outstanding importance.

It must allow us to confirm the pivotal role we play in the economic, social and environmental development of our regions and the specific features of our companies.

At a time when the words financial and economic crisis are on everybody’s lips, we hope to highlight the opportunity represented for Europe by the plurality of methods and forms of entrepreneurship as a factor in competitiveness and economic growth.

This Conference is also an opportunity to remember that the social economy is a local economy at the service of regions for the benefit of the greatest number: this is how it actively contributes to economic, social and territorial cohesion.

The shared vision of development for the benefit of all, without any debarment, requires a legislative and regulatory framework adapted to the specific features of our entrepreneurial methods.
It is through the mobilisation of each one of us that this European Conference will provide the proof that Europe may continue to be built differently by and for its Citizens.
