The International Hrant Dink Foundation has based a film project with the theme of “conscience” upon a quotation of the Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, who was assassinated in 2007.
He had said: “The voice of common sense and of conscience has been sacrificed, now this conscience tries to find a way out.”
The films can be uploaded to the project’s website and will be evaluated by the jury before they are going to be broadcast.
Members of the jury are Costa Gavras, Georges Moustaki, Harutyun Khachatryan, Ibrahim Betil, Lale Mansur, Nebahat Akkoç, Ömer Madra, Rakel Dink, Rela Mazali, Serge Avedikian, Serra Yilmaz, Vaughan Pilikian and Yildirim Türker.
Of all the submitted movies, 20 films will be chosen and edited into one long movie as a whole.
Short movies can be submitted from 1st August to 30th November. Participation is open to everyone, previous filming experience is not required.
The movies should be in Turkish, English, or Armenian.
