Ma Planète Alimentaire (My Food Planet) is a
network bringing together producers, food artisans, restaurants and consumers to encourage short distribution channels in order to provide good quality food, that respects the environment.
The aim is to create social bonds through enhancing and promoting local food consumption: for instance, going to a restaurant that works with the producers and the artisans of the network, or to the regional market where there will be local producers….
Ma Planète Alimentaire, born in 2010 in Brittany, a region in the north-west of France, counts at present 200 members ( 47 of which are restaurant owners). As of autumn 2012 the network has been opened to all French regions.
In order to be part of the network and benefit from the “label” Ma Planete Alimentaire, local producers have to comply with a charter engaging them to implement good hygiene and fabrication practices , to use seasonal products, to privilege methods that respect man and environment, to pass on their know how to future generations…

www.maplanetealimentaire.fr aims at putting producers, artisans, restaurateurs and consumers into contact. On the website consumers can: find good addresses of producers, artisans and restaurateurs; share their good addresses with the network; share their ideas for responsible consumption.
Professionals can: create their own page where they present their products, services, enterprises..; propose new products, events … to the network’s consumers ; access to the professional ads of the network and propose their own professional ads.
