Celebrating crowdfunding in France
The Fête du Crowdfunding, taking place in Paris on the 17th of May, marks a unique occasion to discovering crowdfunding in all its forms, getting to know about the possibilities it offers and the different existing platforms

Co-organized by the association Financement Participatif France and ESCP Europe, the Fête du Crowdfunding marks a unique occasion to getting to know about crowdfunding , the possibilities it offers and the different existing platforms.
Crowdfunding is growing at an exponential rate in France. Funds raised to finance cultural, entrepreneurial, as well as solidarity projects have doubled and 650,000 French citizens, namely 1% of the population, have already contributed at least once to financing a project through crowdfunding. In order to encourage this dynamic, the association Financement Participatif France, that gathers crowdfunding professionals in France, organizes its premier celebration inviting the general public and project owners and leaders to ESCP Europe in Paris.
This event, that will take place on 17 May, will be attended by Arnaud Montebourg, Minister of Economy, Productive Recovery and Digital, and the opening conference will be presented by Jean-Louis Bancel, President of Crédit Coopératif, and Louis Schweitzer, President of Initiative France.
Project owners and leaders who wish appeal to crowdfunding will get the chance to do their “crowdfunder baptism”. They will receive advice to choose the crowdfunding site according to their needs and to prepare their financing campaign.
