Anna Lindh Mediterranean Forum 2013
The Anna Lindh Mediterranean Forum is a unique gathering that brings together youth leaders and civil society organisations, in addition to influential policy-makers and intercultural experts from across the Euro-Mediterranean region. Convoked every three years by the Anna Lindh Foundation, the goal is to provide an innovative and participative space for debate, networking and good practice exchange on intercultural dialogue initiatives. The Forum welcomes unique perspectives, and the participation of people from diverse origins, cultures and beliefs who can turn new ideas into action following the Forum.

European Citizens’ Initiative Day 2013
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), in partnership with the Committee of the Regions (CoR), the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS), Democracy International and the Initiative and Referendum Institute Europe, is organising this year's European Citizens’ Initiative Day. To set the scene, an evaluation of the first year of the ECI will be presented.
The focus will be on campaigning issues and lessons to be learned from the experiences of ECI organisers, giving them space to exchange best practices.
The ECI Day also serves as a meeting space and platform for registered and future ECI organisers to meet and exchange information and experiences, and present their ECI to the media.

Tackling the Housing Crisis in Europe: Towards an Integrated Policy on Homelessness
This symposium on the topic of housing and homelessness is hosted by Public Policy Exchange. The event will offer attendees both the opportunity to hear from experts in the field as well as to discuss their own experiences on the matter.
With an estimated 4.1 million people homeless across Europe, the issue of housing is particularly pressing – the European Parliament first called for a European-wide strategy on homelessness in 2011. This was then taken up by both EU ministers and the European Commission. The outcomes of their decisions and future expectations will be on the topic of discussion at the symposium.

Dublin Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Climate Justice
The Irish Government and the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice will convene an international conference to open dialogue and debate on these linked challenges, and to encourage and inspire innovative thinking and solutions. The conference is being organized in partnership with the World Food Programme and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). This will not be an intergovernmental meeting. It will bring together key policy makers and global thought leaders with local people and practitioners facing the realities of rising food prices, failed crops, undernutrition and voicelessness. The objective will be to facilitate a respectful dialogue and learn from practical experience and robust evidence to inform a new approach to addressing hunger, nutrition and climate justice, in the context of the new international development agenda.

SROI Practitioner Training
The SROI Network training course has been accredited by the Institute of Leadership Management. It, like other courses that contribute to the accredited practitioner status, is delivered by accredited practitioners that are also experienced trainers. Training will be delivered by SROI Network accredited practitioners.
Day one, “How to do an SROI analysis”, is a practical, step-by-step introduction to the SROI process. It will begin with some theory but the process is best learnt by trying it, so candidates will learn how to develop an impact map – the heart of the SROI process – and explore appropriate real life examples.
Day two, “SROI Practitioner Training”, covers, in more depth, issues that practitioners will need to demonstrate an understanding of if they wish to become accredited.

Grandparents as carers
This round table will launch the results of a study conducted by the
EY2012 NGOs Coalition into the contribution of grandparents to families across Europe. The round table takes place on 24 April 2013 in the European Parliament. In particular, discussions will evaluate the recommendations laid out in the report, featuring a range of expert and policy makers with a background in family and children's welfare.

2013 INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Conference and ISEP Reunion
This year’s INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Conference and Reunion will focus on “Technology, Innovation and Social Change” and take place on 25 and 26 April 2013 in Madrid. The ISEP Reunion will follow immediately on 27 April.
