There are few certainties in life but you know that when you feel unmotivated, bored or in need of some inspiration there’s  nothing better than paying a visit to the TED.com.

Even for those who are not big fans of the enthusiastic tones of the talks that sometimes make the speakers sound a bit too much like life coaches, most TED speeches can really do the work and be good inspirational and motivating methods. The TED tagline is Ideas Worth Spreading and no tagline has ever been more suitable than this.

For twenty-seven years TED has gathered together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers. Social innovators from all over the world have taken part in the conference, giving the talk of their lives in less than 18 minutes.

Nominations are now open for the TED 2012 Prize winner. Each year in fact TED gives an award to an exceptional individual who is making a difference in the world. The prize consists of 100 thousand dollars and offers the resources and dedication of the TED community to make one of  the winner’s wishes come true.

“We want this person to be someone whose work and ideas could foster global participation – someone who can make a wish that lets everyone participate” Says Amy Novogratz, TED prize director.

After Bono, Bill Clinton and Jamie Oliver, this year’s prize has gone to JR, a semi-anonymous French street artist whose wish, “To use art to turn the world inside out” is engaging people all over the world in a global art project.

You don’t need to be Bill Clinton or Bono Vox to inspire others and make change happen. Nominate the next TED prize winner, he could be the protagonist of one of our stories, someone you have met, someone you have heard of or it could be you.
