EuroparlTV launches a video competition to promote E.U. citizens’ idea of diversity

“United in diversity” is the official motto of the European Union and given the cultural variety of the E.U., we couldn’t think of a more suitable catch word. However although diversity is extremely important, the term is often hackneyed.

What does diversity really mean? According to the dictionary, it’s “the state or fact of being diverse” and someone said that “diversity is the one true thing we all have in common.”

How would you define this word? The EuroparlTV  gives you the chance to share your idea of diversity through a video competition. Citizens in fact are invited to create a three minute video to express their perception of cultural diversity in Europe and to submit them by July 31.  From September 15  to October 15, the public will get to vote on the videos on the EuroparlTV website. The voting results will be published on a daily basis so that the citizens will be able to follow the public voting. The first prize to grab is a trip to three European cities of the winner’s choice, while the second place prize is an I-Pad and the third place prize a Leica camera.
