Charities in the UK are starting to get tough on marathon runners competing in their name. The London marathon, which takes place this month, sells places to charities at £400 a pop. In exchange, the organisations ask individuals to raise money, generally amounting to £1800, but some people are not coming up with the goods. Charities are now starting to threaten participants saying that if they cannot raise the funds, they will have to come with them directly.
