Small businesses have continued to support charities during the recession, a survey by Barclays indicates. The 1,000 small businesses poll found that in the past 18 months 36% had maintained a constant level of giving to charity, 18% cut it and only 5% increased it. The remaining 41% did not support charities at all. Also, 16% said they would give more once the recession was over, and 71% would continue their current giving in 2010. www.thirdsector.co.uk
