Economic storm/1: the Action Plan
Advice given to the government, the private and the third sector as well as individuals in the Action Plan published after the Ideas Campaign

At the beginning of March, Business in the Community Ireland (CSR Europe‘s national partner organisation in Ireland) had announced its support to the Ideas Campaign, an online citizen participation platform that was looking to find ways out of the economic downturn. Citizens of Ireland was asking to propose innovative ideas to boost economic activity across key areas such as manufacturing, technology, construction, retail and education. The site was not looking for business plans or ideas which could become commercial enterprises but was instead focused on strategies that could benefit society.
Now, this project has turned into an Action Plan, which was drawn up by the Ideas Campaign‘s Advisory Group and includes a list of priority actions for consideration by Government and groups (social, voluntary and business), as well as individuals.
The full report can be accessed in this section of the website in a number of different formats: HTML version, by section; HTML version, single page (for printing); Download [PDF, 935 KB].
Summaries of most of the ideas received are also published by category in the ideas section of Ideas Campaign’s site.
