The United Nations has set out a list of Competencies for the Future that outline the skills and abilities they are looking for. These include:
Core Values: Integrity, professionalism and respect for diversity.
Core competencies: Communication, teamwork, planning and organisation. Accountability, creativity, client orientation, commitment to continuous learning and technological awareness.
Managerial Competencies: Leadership, vision, empowering others, building trust, managing performance and decision making.
