Wyse: International Leadership Programme

The International Leadership Programme. A 12-day residential programme to promote visionary leadership. The key skills? Awareness and respect for  political, religious and social diversity.

The programme, that will be held at ‘Villa Boccella’, situated 5 miles outside of Lucca, Italy, is open to young people aged 18 to 32.  This exceptional venue will be dedicated to the advancement of inter-cultural understanding for young people. The programme starts on August 10.

WYSE International is an organisation for people who care about what’s happening in the world and are willing to do what they can to make a positive difference.  WYSE programmes promote visionary leadership and inter-cultural understanding.

Included in the programme: 

· The development of a learning community that challenges and inspires new thinking.

· An opportunity to explore the underlying causes of global problems, and develop a social entrepreneurial approach.

· Experiences that help identify values and guiding principles in order to gain a sense of balance, purpose and life direction.

· Tools and experiences for discovering potential through all learning modalities, including team projects, physical activities, deep discussion, and the arts.

· An opportunity to develop an international network of people who wish to collaborate and make a positive difference.

· A focus on the influence of and relationship between individuals, local NGOs and international organisations such as the United Nations.

The cost of the programme is £770 (pounds sterling). This cost is a subsidised rate and includes full board, accommodation and tuition expenses. A limited amount of bursaries are available upon application. The programme staff consists of highly experienced trainers from diverse backgrounds who donate their time and expertise.
