Images speak more than a thousand words, goes the saying. And advertising geared at promoting social values, rather than commercial ones, has the power to make us stop, think and, perhaps, take action. To find out all you need to know about the world of non profit advertising, there is now a place where marketing and activism collide: Osocio.org.

Formerly known as the Houtlust Blog, Osocio was recently re-launched (in December 2007) following the widespread demand for commentary and news on the world of social messaging. More than a blog, Osocio is a platform and a community of ?marketing do-gooders?. A place to find out about the latest social marketing campaigns, to exchange views on their effectiveness and to keep in touch with the good Samaritans of communications across the globe.

Complete with tools that teach and connect ? like the agenda, the dictionary and the links page ? and available in 16 languages, Osocio lives up to its claim: A truly complete resource for all things in the world of non-profit and social messaging.
