Each search using VeoSearch.com generates income from advertising, half of which is then donated to sustainable development projects, promoted on the website. Users of the search engine also have the opportunity to set up an account for free and nominate causes to benefit.

The mission of VeoSearch.com is to give charities and organisations a communications and funding alternative.

Is also gives them a platform for promotion. The search engine does not perform its own searches, but uses Google, Yahoo, Ask and Exalead.

Guillaume Heintz, co-founder of VeoSearch.com, said: ?It's about time that charities get funding and visability without having to put enormous amounts of money in marketing and fundraising. We make the user a donor without them even reaching for the wallet.'

Fellow co-founder, Arthur Saint Père, added: ?As globalization increases and the suffering of the third world comes closer to our westernized homes, it's only right that the business sector takes its responsibility to contribute.'

The search engine has already dealt with more than 17,900,000 searches and has over 33,000 members, generating more than £19,900 for good causes.

Visit www.VeoSearch.com to start searching. The website also provides more information about how it works, the charities that benefit and how to set up a personal account.
