France : The road to a social Europe
European social networks are flourishing. The French union of social action community has created ELISAn. at its past congress in Metz.

In France, Social action community centres ? CCAS ? organise everywhere the provision of services to families, elderly, handicapped people and try to offer social and employment integration to persons disconnected from the labour market. On 24, 25, 26 past october, the federation of the CCAS decided to unveil its European ambitions, and to pave the way for a new network, called ELISAn.
Effective networking within the European Union appears to be an emergency to better connect citizens to the building of a new social model. UNCCAS would want to influence the shaping of the future EU legislation with all its counterparts in the member countries. This is the reason why a formal proposal of co-operation with mayors and Mps has been put forward at the recent Metz congress.
In the coming weeks, UNCCAS will intensify its campaign for a more efficient collaboration between social actors, particularly through the increased dissemination of its English newsletter ?Social News?.
Vita Europe will be delighted to share the next steps of this European project…
