Italy: Giving in Pharmaceutical Companies

The results of a research about Corporate Giving in Pharmaceutical Companies done by Vita Consulting in cooperation with the University Bocconi of Milan have been presented during a seminar at the Bocconi University. The research and the seminar have been organized thanks to the contribution of Novartis and Sanofi-Aventis. Among the main results: 53% of the pharmaceutical companies which have participated to the research employ a person who deals specifically with CSR, whereas pharmaceutical companies which have been engaged in Corporate Giving are 73% of the total number. The main areas of intervention of this Corporate Giving are ?ill people?,? elderly people?, ?Handicap? and ?AIDS?. All of these areas are connected with company business. Inside pharmaceutical companies the Communication Area is mainly in charge of the promotion and management of Corporate Giving.
