Russia: social pharmacies will open in S. Petesb.

A series of social pharmacies is going to be installed in the city of St.Petersburg. The social pharmacies will be set up on the basis of the existing network of pharmacies “First Aid” . The basic prices for the medicine will be significantly lower than in the commercial pharmacies of the city explained Petr Grek, Director of the network. For pensioners a special discount up to 15-20% will be established. Access to the low-price medicine will be given to all pensioners with an official pensioner’s registration. The initiators estimate that around 300.000 persons will have access to the discount medicine in the city. If the project will be successful, up to 20.000 such pharmacies could be installed in St.Petersburg.
