A new humanitarian fundraising project has been launched called “Lets leave a mark”, thought up by the UN World Food Programme and promoted by the famous public relations company Hill&Knowlton. The name ?lets leave a mark? has been chosen for this new fundraising campaign that aims to approach future supporters in a straightforward and easy way, using design as an effective and universal communications tool. Up to now a number of personalities have already signed on including Kakà, the footballer and WFP ambassador, the composer Ennio Morricone, Sergio Castellitto and Albano Carrisi. They have all been asked to draw a sketch that represents, in an original way, their own personal way of ?leaving a mark?. The sketches will be then sold at a Gala Night auction exclusively to businesses, to the general public via online auctions and during events that will be organised nationwide throughout the whole year. Carolina Kostner, gold medalist skater at the 2007 European championships, 3 time national champion and bronze medallist in the 2006 European and the 2005 World championships, also chose to ?leave her sign?. Her sketch was chosen by the Committee to illustrate the front cover of the project?s White Paper to be handed over to interested businesses. This is yet another of Carolina Kostner not for profit activities as she is all ready helping to raise funds for an Italian organisation that helps children.
