Italy: fund raiser enters the vocabulary 2005

Language revolution! The 2005 edition of the Zingarelli dictionary has added two new expressions: fair trade and fundraiser.

This is a precise sign of a positive change in society. A society that has now accepted, and linked, the concept of solidarity to that of equality and the idea that economy is not just seeking profit for itself, but also profit for non profit. Or, rather, for another kind of profit.

The Zingarelli says so. Now nobody will be allowed to think that we can be equal without being supportive, and that economic improvement can happen without sharing that kind of wealth that does not depend on money but on sharing a sensation, a common experience.
